Hmm. I’m a little disappointed with the slower-than-average tempo and lesser amount of technicality… but I’m still very much enjoying it.

So, from the transition from Emissaries to Epigenesis, what’s up? Definitely the thumbs, but not quite the horns.

And now, dearest followers, I share with you a treasure from the greatest band in my collection.

Power Word: Kill, by Battlemaster

Another one of my favorites from my hometown (notice the album artwork is a play on the Virginia state flag.) This was recorded in their prime, though I think it’s safe to say now that I wish it to R.I.P. The vocalist you’re hearing is Andy Horn, of Cannabis Corpse. He’s seemingly too caught up in CC to have time for Battlemaster anymore. That, and their new material seems far below the sound that this album put forth. Enjoy.

You can’t even fathom. One of the best openings to any metal album, ever.

As man casts one last shadow
onto stone fields of the forgotten
overgrown ruins now
that fall into rank no longer…

HONOUR - The fallen brave
VALOUR - With their lives they gave
PRIDE - That will never fade

…We still remember.

Bolt Thrower, Pride.

Just befriended Dave Ingram on facebook, minutes after hearing these spine-shivereing words over the amazing riffs.

Awesome.

World Eater, by Bolt Thrower

worl-worl-worl-Worl-WORRRRRRRRRRRLD EEEEATAAAAAAAR!!!

No, but seriously…this was way too sped up. It’s so much more fucking brutal when slowed down to it’s normal tempo. I’d practically murder someone to be able to see them live.

I am not, nor have I ever been a representative of the Church of Satan or its affiliates.
